Carlos Carrasco (7-5), who has a very good 1.40 ERA in his last seven starts for the Cleveland Indians, will go up against Brett Oberholtzer (5-11) and the Houston Astros on Wednesday night.

Carlos Carrasco gave up four runs in 6.1 innings against the Detroit Tigers on the road last week and ended up suffering his fifth loss of the season. He allowed seven base hits in that game and struck out five batters while walking two. Carrasco has struck out 109 batters in 110 innings this season and he now has a 2.86 ERA.

Astros infielder Marwin Gonzalez is 1-for-2 against Carrasco in his career with a solo home run. None of the Astros have faced Carrasco more than three times in their careers.

Left-hander Brett Oberholtzer did not have a very good start against the Los Angeles Angels on the road last week and ended up taking the loss. He pitched 4.1 innings in that outing and gave up six runs (four earned) on five base hits while walking no one and striking out six. On the year, the lefty has given up 154 hits in 131.2 innings and he now has a 4.51 ERA after that loss.

Indians first baseman Carlos Santana has two hits in five at-bats versus Oberholtzer with a walk, a home run and two RBI. Veteran outfielder Michael Bourn is just 1-for-7 against him with no walks and one strikeout.
