With a 2:10 p.m. first pitch on Saturday afternoon, U.S. Cellular Field will be the site of an inter-divisional battle between the Chicago White Sox and the visiting Cleveland Indians. The Indians will send Justin Masterson to the hill for the start, while the White Sox will counter with Felipe Paulino.

Masterson has not had the greatest start to the 2014 season. He had a solid 2013 season for the Indians a year ago, but still has a sub-.500 winning percentage over the course of his career. The native of Kingston, Jamaica has a 53-63 career record and has a lot of experience against the current roster of White Sox. They are batting .232 against him with 5 home runs. He has limited their best hitters to poor averages including Alexei Ramirez (.163) and Paul Konerko (.231), while the likes of Adam Dunn (.263) and Gordon Beckham (.290) have had some success against him.

The White Sox will hope to get a better performance out of Paulino than they have in his first two starts of the season. Paulino is only 13-33 in his career including 0-1 this season. He has allowed 16 hits, 6 walks and 7 earned runs in just 9 2/3 innings this season. Against the current members of the Indians, Paulino has allowed just 9 hits in 35 in at-bats. Aside from Mike Aviles who is 4-for-6, the Indians haven’t had consistent success against the Dominican Republic native.
