Corey Kluber will be going for his first win in the month of June for the Cleveland Indians on Wednesday night when he goes up against Chase Anderson and the Arizona Diamondbacks.

Corey Kluber lost for the fifth time this season last Friday when he was beaten by the Detroit Tigers at home. He went seven innings in that game and allowed just two runs on eight hits while walking one and striking out six. Through 16 starts, Kluber is 6-5 for the Indians and he has struck out 114 batters in 103.2 innings.

Veteran Cody Ross is the only player on the Diamondbacks who has faced Kluber before, and he is 0-for-2 against him with two strikeouts.

Rookie Chase Anderson lost his second game in a row last Thursday against the Milwaukee Brewers after giving up three runs (two earned) in six innings of work. He allowed five hits in that start and walked no one while striking out four. Through seven starts, he is 5-2 with a 3.18 ERA and he has been helped by 7.35 runs per nine innings from his offense.

The left-handed hitters on the Indians won't be looking forward to facing Anderson because so far he has held them to a .148 batting average in 61 at-bats. Right-handed hitters are hitting .299 against him with five home runs and a .930 OPS through 87 at-bats.
