Right-hander Mike Leake will be on the mound for the Cincinnati Reds on Monday night when they face Stephen Strasburg and the Washington Nationals.

Mike Leake pitched brilliantly in his last start, but he ended up with a no decision after getting no run support against the San Diego Padres. He pitched eight innings in that game and gave up just one run on two hits while striking out five and walking one. He has given up just 47 hits through 58.1 innings on the season and now has a 3.09 ERA.

Veteran outfielder Jayson Werth has seven hits in 20 at-bats against Leake with a double and four RBI. Two of catcher Wilson Ramos' four hits against Leake were home runs.

25-year-old Stephen Strasburg didn't walk anyone in his start against the Arizona Diamondbacks last week, but he still ended up with a loss after the Nats ended up losing 3-1. He made it through seven innings in that start and gave up three earned runs on eight hits while striking out six. He now has a 3-3 record on the season with a 3.48 ERA.

Reds second baseman Brandon Phillips is 3-for-7 in his career against Strasburg with a triple and an RBI. All-Star Joey Votto has had a tough time figuring out the right-hander, getting just one hit in six at-bats with three strikeouts.
