Cincinnati Reds starter Tony Cingrani and Michael Wacha of the St. Louis Cardinals will face each other for the second time in less than a week on Monday afternoon. It was a pitcher's duel in their last matchup, which the Reds won 1-0 with a run in the bottom of the ninth.

Tony Cingrani didn't get a decision against the Cardinals last Wednesday, but he did have a great start. He was able to go seven innings in the game and struck out nine while giving up just two hits and walking two. If it wasn't his first start of the season, he probably would have gone out for the eighth inning.

Chances are none of the Cardinals want to face Cingrani again so quickly, but a few of them have done pretty well against him in the past. Matt Carpenter is 4-for-11 against the lefty in his career and was able to get one of the team's two hits against him last Wednesday.

Michael Wacha didn't do quite as well as Cingrani last week, but he still had a very good game. The 22-year-old gave up just three hits over 6.2 innings while striking out seven and walking one. He did allow his pitch count to get high too quickly, but the Cardinals will take that type of start every time from the young righty.

Jay Bruce really doesn't want to face Wacha again. He is now 0-for-12 against him in his career after going 0-for-4 with two strikeouts last Wednesday.
