Cincinnati Reds ace Johnny Cueto (15-6) will be going for his sixth win in a row on Wednesday night when he faces off against Lance Lynn (13-8) and the St. Louis Cardinals.

Johnny Cueto had another great start last week when he was able to beat the Colorado Rockies on the road. He went eight innings in that game and allowed just two runs on six base hits while walking two and striking out six. His ERA is now a fantastic 2.06 on the year and he has only given up 5.9 hits per nine innings, which leads the league.

Outfielder Jon Jay is the one player on the Cardinals who Cueto does not like to face. Jay is 10-for-21 against him in his career with a double, three home runs and seven RBI.

Big right-hander Lance Lynn won his second game in a row last week when he was able to defeat the San Diego Padres. He pitched six innings in that outing and allowed one run on six hits while walking one and striking out six. He currently has a 2.91 ERA on the year and he has only given up seven home runs in 151.2 innings of work.

Reds outfielder Jay Bruce has nine hits in 19 at-bats versus Lynn in his career with a double, two triples, two home runs and eight RBI. Billy Hamilton is just 1-for-6 against him with two strikeouts.
