The playoff battle in the National League Central has three teams actively looking to advance to the postseason. One of those three teams is playing a crucial division rivalry game on Sunday when they welcome the Cincinnati Reds to Miller Park. The Milwaukee Brewers are currently in third place in the division and will send right-hander Matt Garza (7-8) to the mound to take on right-hander Mike Leake (11-11).

Leake has won his last 2 decisions to get his record back to .500 and will look to get his record above .500 for the first time since he was 2-1 in April. In August, Leake was remarkable, recording a 2.56 ERA in 6 starts, but was just 2-0. In 2 September starts, he hasn't excelled, allowing 10 earned runs in 10 innings, as he was shelled by the Baltimore Orioles on Sept. 4. He bounced back in his last outing, beating the division leading St. Louis Cardinals.

Garza, the veteran from California, hasn't won a start since July 24 and is just 3-4 in his last 10 starts. He has pitched well for the most part this season and will be coming into this start with a 3.83 ERA. Overall this season, he has a 1.19 WHIP and .237 BAA, both of which are respectable totals. In his career against the current Cincinnati players, he has allowed 37 hits in 146 at-bats. Jay Bruce and Brandon Phillips have had the most success against him.
