Cincinnati Reds ace Johnny Cueto (11-6) will be going for his fourth win in five starts on Thursday night when he faces right-hander Tom Koehler (7-7) and the Miami Marlins.

All-Star Johnny Cueto had a very strong start against the Washington Nationals over the weekend and came away with his 11th win of the year. He pitched seven shutout innings in that start and allowed just four hits while walking three batters and striking out nine. Cueto's ERA dipped to an excellent 2.08 on the year and he has only given up 102 hits in 155.2 innings this season.

Marlins first baseman Garrett Jones has 11 hits in 39 at-bats against Cueto with four doubles, a triple and a home run. Outfielder Reed Johnson is 5-for-14 against him with a double and just one strikeout.

Tom Koehler won his seventh game of the year last Saturday when he was able to beat the Houston Astros on the road. He pitched five innings in that game and allowed three runs on nine hits while striking out two and walking zero. Koehler has only given up 108 hits in 124.1 innings this year and he has struck out 97 batters.

Reds outfielder Skip Schumaker has one hit in two plate appearances against Koehler with a double. None of the Reds have gone up against Koehler more than two times.
