On Friday night, Johnny Cueto (14-6) will be going for his fifth consecutive win for the Cincinnati Reds when they face Franklin Morales (5-6) and the Colorado Rockies.

Right-hander Johnny Cueto won his league-leading 14th game of the season on Sunday when he beat the Miami Marlins at home. He pitched eight innings in that game and allowed two runs on five hits while striking out nine batters and walking two. Cueto has an excellent 2.05 ERA on the season and he has only given up 5.8 hits per nine innings while walking just 2.4 batters per nine innings.

Rockies catcher Wilin Rosario has two hits in five plate appearances versus Cueto with a double and no strikeouts. Backup catcher Michael McKenry is 0-for-6 against him with no walks an one strikeout.

Lefty Franklin Morales started against the Arizona Diamondbacks on Sunday and ended up with a no decision. He pitched six innings in that outing and allowed three runs (two earned) on five base hits while walking two batters and striking out two. His ERA dropped to 4.97 after that game and he has now given up 125 hits in 112.1 innings.

First baseman Jack Hannahan, pitcher Homer Bailey and catcher Brayan Pena are the only Reds who have faced Morales in their careers. They are a combined 1-for-4 against him with no walks and one strikeout.
