Right-hander Mike Leake (9-10) will be on the mound for the Cincinnati Reds when they face off against lefty Jorge De La Rosa (11-8) and the Colorado Rockies on Thursday night.

Mike Leake had a pretty good start against the Miami Marlins last Friday, but he took the loss after getting just one run from his offense. Leake went seven innings in that game and allowed two runs on five hits while walking four batters and striking out seven. He now has a 3.42 ERA on the year and he has walked just 2.1 batters per nine innings.

Rockies catcher Michael McKenry has faced Leake more than any of his teammates, but he is just 2-for-12 against him with three strikeouts. Corey Dickerson is 2-for-2 against him in his career with a walk and a double.

Jorge De La Rosa lost his second consecutive game last Saturday when he was defeated by the Arizona Diamondbacks on the road. He pitched six innings in that outing and gave up four runs on six hits while walking no one and striking out two. He now has a 4.34 ERA, but he has only given up 121 hits in 134 innings this season.

Reds outfielder Ryan Ludwick has just a .238 batting average through 21 at-bats against De La Rosa, but he has hit three home runs ff of him. Outfielder Jay Bruce is 1-for-7 against De La Rosa with a walk and three strikeouts.
