On Wednesday night, rookie Daniel Corcino (0-0) will make just the second start of his career when he and the Cincinnati Reds face Kyle Hendricks (6-2) and the Chicago Cubs.

Right-hander Daniel Corcino pitched well in his first Major League start last Friday and ended up with a no decision against the Milwaukee Brewers. He pitched six innings in that game and allowed just two runs on two hits while striking out four batters and walking one. Corcino currently has a 5.19 ERA on the year and he has struck out seven batters in 8.2 innings.

The Cubs will be facing Corcino for the first time on Wednesday night. So far this season, both right-handed and left-handed batters are hitting .182 against him.

Rookie Kyle Hendricks lost against the Toronto Blue Jays on the road last week after giving up four runs in 5.2 innings of work. He allowed six hits in that game and struck out five batters while walking two. Through 11 starts, Hendricks now has a 2.38 ERA and he has only given up three home runs in 68 innings on the mound.

Reds veteran outfielder Ryan Ludwick has a hit in each of his three at-bats against Hendricks including a home run. Third baseman Todd Frazier is hitless in three at-bats against him in his career with no walks and two strikeouts.
