Homer Bailey will be going for his second straight win when the Cincinnati Reds take on Ervin Santana and the Atlanta Braves on Friday night.

Homer Bailey was able to pick up his first win of the season when he beat the Chicago Cubs on Sunday. He pitched six shutout innings in that outing and struck out eight while walking three. He was able to lower his season ERA to 5.75 and is currently striking out 11.1 batters per nine innings.

Braves second baseman Dan Uggla has an RBI off of Bailey, but he has just three hits in 18 at-bats against him. Ryan Doumit may find himself in the Braves' lineup on Thursday as he has eight hits, including a home run and three doubles, in 16 career at-bats against Bailey.

Ervin Santana continued his hot start to the season by picking up his second win against the New York Mets on Saturday. He pitched seven innings in that game and gave up just one run on six hits while striking out seven and walking two. Santana has an excellent 0.86 ERA right now and 10.3 K/9 in 21 innings.

Middle infielder Ramon Santiago has not done too well against Santana in their matchups, getting just one hit in seven plate appearances while striking out three times. None of the Reds' other regular starters have faced Santana.
