On Friday, Mike Leake will be looking to pick up his third win of the season when the Cincinnati Reds take on Bronson Arroyo and the Arizona Diamondbacks.

Mike Leake pitched well in his outing against the St. Louis Cardinals on Sunday, but he ended up with a loss because he got no help from his offense that night. He went six innings in that game and allowed two earned runs on seven hits while striking out eight and walking two. He now has a 2-4 record on the year, but he has a 2.79 ERA and only 2.65 runs of run support.

Leake has done well against Diamondbacks' slugger Paul Goldschmidt in their matchups by holding him to just one hit in nine at-bats. Gerardo Parra and Aaron Hill have both hit home runs off of the right-hander.

Bronson Arroyo went six innings and gave up just one run against the New York Mets on Sunday, but all he got out of it was a no decision. He allowed just six hits in those six innings of work and struck out one batter while walking one. Arroyo is 4-3 on the season with a 4.15 ERA and has given up just 13 walks in 60.2 innings.

Skip Schumaker has gone up against Arroyo more than any of his Reds teammates and he has a .373 batting average with two doubles and a home run in 51 at-bats against him.
