On Thursday night, Tony Cingrani and the Cincinnati Reds will be going up against Josh Collmenter and the Arizona Diamondbacks.

Lefty Tony Cingrani lost for the second straight start when he was beaten by the St. Louis Cardinals at home last Saturday. He made it through six innings in that game and allowed four runs on seven hits while walking three and striking out four. He now has a 2-4 record on the year, but he's struck out 43 batters through 44.1 innings.

Second baseman Aaron Hill is 1-for-2 against Cingrani in his career with a double, while Martin Prado is the only player on the Diamondbacks who has hit a home run off of him.

Last weekend, big right-hander Josh Collmenter won his second straight start by defeating the New York Mets on the road. He pitched six strong innings in that start and allowed just two runs on six hits while striking out four and walking just one. He has a 3.91 ERA in 53 innings of work this season and has walked just 14 batters.

Veteran outfielder Roger Bernadina has faced Collmenter more than any of his Reds' teammates and is 1-for-5 against him with a double. Second baseman Brandon Phillips has one single in three at-bats against him. No one on the Reds has hit a home run off of the 28-year-old yet.
