The surprising Alfredo Simon will be on the mound for the Cincinnati Reds on Sunday and will be taking on Wade Miley and the Arizona Diamondbacks.

Alfredo Simon has been one of the biggest surprises this season, but he didn't have his best start of the year when he went up against the Los Angeles Dodgers last week. He made it through just 3.2 innings in that start and allowed five runs on five hits while walking four and striking out just two. With that loss, he now has a 6-3 record on the season and a solid 2.90 ERA.

Second baseman Aaron Hill has faced Simon seven times in his career and has yet to get a hit off of him. Veteran Eric Chavez has three hits in five at-bats against him with a double and two RBI.

Lefty Wade Miley had a strong start against the San Diego Padres on Tuesday, but he didn't get much help from his offense and ended up with just a no decision to show for it. He allowed three runs in seven innings ion that game while striking out a season-high 11 batters and walking just one. Through 12 stars, Miley has a 3-5 record with a 4.76 ERA.

Jay Bruce and Ryan Ludwick both have hit home runs off of Miley in their careers, but they are a combined 2-for-11 against him.
