Johnny Cueto will be looking to end his two-game losing streak on Saturday night when the Cincinnati Reds go up against Brandon McCarthy and the Arizona Diamondbacks.

On Monday, Johnny Cueto lost his second straight game when he gave up four runs (one earned) against the Los Angeles Dodgers on the road. He pitched 6.1 decent innings in that start and gave up four hits while striking out three and walking two. He still as an outstanding 1.83 ERA through 83.2 innings this year and has allowed just 43 hits while striking out 85.

Gerardo Parra has had quite a bit of success against Cueto over the years by getting four hits in 11 at-bats, including two doubles and two home runs. Catcher Miguel Montero has just one hit in 13 at-bats against the Reds' right-hander.

Brandon McCarthy didn't end up taking the loss against the San Diego Padres on Monday, but he certainly deserved one after allowing five earned runs in 6.2 innings of work. He gave up nine hits in that start and walked no one while striking out four. McCarthy has a 1-6 record this season with a 4.87 ERA through 68.1 innings.

Ramon Santiago has faced McCarthy more than any of the other Diamondbacks, but he is just 2-for-12 against him with four strikeouts. No one on Arizona has hit a home run off of the big right-hander yet.
