Felipe Paulino will be hoping to get his first win in four tries for the Chicago White Sox when he goes up against Martin Perez and the Texas Rangers on Friday night.

Felipe Paulino had his second straight rough start last Saturday against the Cleveland Indians when he went just five innings and gave up six hits and six earned runs while striking out three. The Indians were able to hit three home runs off of him in that outing, including back-to-back jacks in the fifth inning.

Considering Paulino has had problems giving up the long ball, he will not be looking forward to facing Prince Fielder, who has two home runs and five RBI against him in eight at-bats. Elvis Andrus is 2-for-4 against Paulino in his career with a home run.

Martin Perez has had a great start to the season and was able to get his second win on Sunday night when he went eight strong innings against the Houston Astros. Perez walked three and only struck out two, but he held the Astros to just five hits. His season ERA now sits at 2.70 and he has yet to give up a home run.

Outfielder Dayan Viciedo is the only White Sox hitter with any type of success against Perez, getting two hits and two RBI in three career plate appearances against him.
