Left-hander John Danks (9-11) will try to pick up his first win of the month when he and the Chicago White Sox go up against Nathan Karns (1-0) and the Tampa Bay Rays on Sunday afternoon.

John Danks' winless streak stretched to nine games last Monday when he took the no decision against the Kansas City Royals on the road. He did pitch six scoreless innings in that start and gave up just two hits while walking four batters and striking out six. Danks now has a 4.88 ERA on the year and he has only been able to strike out 121 batters in 180.2 innings of work.

Rays veteran David DeJesus has nine hits in 25 at-bats versus Danks with three doubles and five RBI. Ben Zobrist is just 2-for-18 against him with three walks and seven strikeouts.

Nathan Karns made his first start of the season last week and was able to beat the Toronto Blue Jays on the road. He pitched seven scoreless innings in that start and walked two batters while striking out eight. The right-hander Threw 72 of his 114 pitches for strikes in that game and he induced seven ground balls.

Karns will be facing all of the White Sox for the first time in his career on Sunday afternoon. In his career, right-handed batters are hitting just .229 against him in 35 at-bats.
