Right-hander Hector Noesi (6-8) is coming off of one of his better starts for the Chicago White Sox and will look to use that momentum when he takes on James Paxton (2-0) and the Seattle Mariners on Saturday night.

On Monday against the Texas Rangers, Hector Noesi pitched seven good innings and ended up picking up the win. He allowed three runs (one earned) in that game and walked three hitters while striking out six. On the season, Noesi has 84 strikeouts in 114 innings and he currently has a 4.97 ERA.

Mariners first baseman Kendrys Morales seems to like facing Noesi, going 3-for-7 against him with two home runs and four RBI. Outfielder Austin Jackson has just one hit in seven at-bats against him with two walks and a strikeout.

Second-year starter James Paxton had his first outing since April last Saturday when he gave up two runs to the Baltimore Orioles in 4.1 innings of work. He allowed four hits in that game and walked three batters while striking out five. In three starts this season, Paxton has a 2.76 ERA and he has struck out 18 batters in 16.1 innings.

The White Sox will get their first chance to go up against Paxton on Saturday night. In his career, Paxton has held left-handed hitter to just a .161 batting average and a .562 OPS.
