Lefty Jose Quintana (6-7), who hasn't lost a game since late June, will be on the mound for the Chicago White Sox when they face Hisashi Iwakuma (9-6) and the Seattle Mariners on Friday night.

Jose Quintana pitched five good innings against the Minnesota Twins on Sunday, but he had to settle for a no decision rather than a win. He allowed just one unearned run in five innings that day while walking two batters and striking out five. He has a solid 3.04 ERA on the season and he has struck out 125 hitter sin 142.1 innings.

Tigers outfielder Austin Jackson has just five hits in 21 at-bats against Quintana with two walks and four strikeouts. All-Star Robinson Cano is 3-for-10 against the left-hander, but with no extra-base hits and no walks.

Hisashi Iwakuma took the loss against the Baltimore Orioles on Sunday, but he pitched well enough to get the win. He went 7.2 innings in that outing and gave up just one earned run on five base hits while striking out seven batters and walking two. He now has a very good 2.94 ERA on the year and he has only walked 11 batters in 125.1 innings.

White Sox designated hitter Adam Dunn is just 2-for-8 against Iwakuma in his career, but both of those hits were home runs. Alejandro De Aza is just 1-for-7 against him with one walk and two strikeouts.
