John Danks (9-7) is coming off of his worst start of the year and will hope to get back to winning ways when the Chicago White Sox go up against Erasmo Ramirez (1-5) and the Seattle Mariners on Sunday.

Left-hander John Danks gave up a season-high nine earned runs to the Texas Rangers on Tuesday and took his seventh loss of the year. He went just 4.2 innings in that outing and allowed eight hits while walking five and striking out five. His ERA climbed up to 4.93 with that loss and he has now given up 23 home runs on 140.2 innings.

Mariners outfielder Austin Jackson has 18 hits in his 45 at-bats against Danks with two doubles, three home runs and seven RBI. First baseman Kendrys Morales is 3-for-15 against him with on RBI and one strikeout.

Third-year starter Erasmo Ramirez last pitched on July 22 for the Mariners when he was beaten by the New York Mets at home. He did pitch well in that game, though, by giving up just two runs in seven innings and striking out a season-high 10 batters. He has a 4.35 ERA this year and has struck out 52 batters in 60 innings of work.

White Sox veteran Paul Konerko is hitless in his only two at-bats against Ramirez. Most of the White Sox will be facing Ramirez for the first time on Sunday afternoon.
