On Thursday night, Jose Quintana will be hoping to end his three-game losing streak when the Chicago White Sox face off against Samuel Deduno and the Minnesota Twins.

Left-hander Jose Quintana had one of his roughest outings of the year last Friday when he was beaten by the Kansas City Royals. He went six innings in that game, allowing six runs to cross the plate and walking one while striking out six. Quintana is 3-7 this year with a 3.98 ERA and he has only given up four home runs in 83.2 innings.

Veteran Josh Willingham has eight hits off of Quintana in 15 at-bats with two home runs and five RBI. Oswaldo Arcia has just one hit against him in eight at-bats with four strikeouts.

On Saturday, Samuel Deduno could only make it through 2.2 innings in his start against the Detroit Tigers on the road and ended up losing for the fifth time this season. He allowed seven runs on seven hits in that game while walking two and striking out three. Deduno is now 2-5 this year with a 5.34 ERA and a 1.587 WHIP.

Alejandro De Aza has had a tough time figuring Deduno out so far in his career, going 1-for-8 against him with three strikeouts. Shortstop Alexei Ramirez has three hits against him in seven at-bats with a double, a home run and three RBI.
