On Wednesday, John Danks (9-9) will try to win his first game since back on July 25 when he and the Chicago White Sox take on rookie Trevor May (0-4) and the Minnesota Twins.

Left-hander John Danks ended up taking the loss in his start against the Cleveland Indians last week despite pitching pretty well in the game. He went six innings in that start and gave up just two runs on five hits while walking two batters and striking out five. Danks has given up 178 hits in 164 innings and now has a 4.88 ERA on the year.

Twins outfielder Oswaldo Arcia has five hits in 15 at-bats versus Danks with two home runs and four RBI. Catcher Kurt Suzuki is just 3-for-20 against him with three walks and a strikeout.

Right-hander Trevor May lost his third game in a row last Friday when he was beaten by the Baltimore Orioles on the road. He gave a eight runs in 4.2 innings of work in that game while walking one batter and striking out eight. His ERA is now up to 10.42 through five starts and he has given up 30 hits in just 19 innings.

May will be going up against the White Sox for the first time in his career on Wednesday night. So far this year, right-handed batters are hitting .377 against him while left-handed hitters have a .345 average against him.
