Rookie Scott Carroll will be going for his fifth win of the season when the Chicago White Sox face Yohan Pino and the Minnesota Twins on Sunday afternoon.

Last week, Scott Carroll gave up five runs in five innings to the Kansas City Royals and ended up losing for the sixth time this year. He allowed 11 hits in that outing and walked two batters while striking out three. Carroll is now 4-6 on the year and he has only been able to strike out 37 batters in 73.2 innings of work.

The Twins are one of the teams that Carroll has already faced this season. In late-June, he pitched 3.2 innings against them out of the bullpen and didn't give up a run while striking out two.

Rookie Yohan Pino gave up four runs in 6.1 innings of work against the Cleveland Indians last week and ended up suffering his third loss of the year. He allowed seven hits in that game and struck out five hitters while walking no one. Pino is currently 1-3 on the year with a 4.64 ERA, but he has only walked 1.9 batters per nine innings.

White Sox third baseman Conor Gillaspie went 1-for-3 against Pino earlier this season and had two RBI in that game. All-Star first baseman Jose Abreu was 0-for-3 against him in that June 19 matchup and was struck out twice.
