Saturday evening, Chris Sale gets the nod for the Chicago White Sox as Logan Darnell gets the call for the Minnesota Twins. Sale will make his 16 ^th start as Darnell makes his first Major League start.

Chris Sale took his record to 9 - 1 with a 2.03 ERA after getting the victory in his last outing. In the win, Sale allowed just a run on 7 hits in 7 innings of work. He walked a batter and struck out 8. Sale hasn't lost a start since the middle of May and is 4 - 0 in his last 6 starts. He is well on track to post more victories this season than he did in 2013 when he went 11 - 14 with a 3.07 ERA in 30 starts.

Last season, Sale was 1 - 1 with a 5.25 ERA in 2 starts against the Twins. This season, Sale opened the year with a victory over Minnesota after holding them to 3 runs and 5 hits in 7 innings of work.

Logan Darnell will make his first Major League start for the Twins as he replaces Kyle Gibson. Gibson has been suffering from a stiff back and that will give Darnell the opportunity to show what he has against Major League hitters. At Triple-A Rochester this year, Darnell was 5 - 5 with a 3.43 ERA in 17 starts.

Darnell has some Major League experience this season. He pitched 3 innings of relief against the Cleveland Indians in early May. But without any experience against the White Sox, Darnell will need to rely on the scouting report for information on the Chicago lineup.
