25-year-old lefty Jose Quintana will be taking the mound for the Chicago White Sox on Monday night and will be facing Los Angeles Dodgers ace Clayton Kershaw.

Last Monday, Jose Quintana won his third game of the year when he was able to defeat the Cleveland Indians at home. He allowed two runs in six innings of work in that game and struck out five while walking two. Quintana has done very well with his command this season, which has lead to just 18 walks in 67.1 innings.

Quintana has only gone up against Andre Ethier three times in his career, but he definitely has the advantage in that matchup so far by striking him out all three times.

Last Wednesday, Clayton Kershaw picked up his second loss of the season when he was beaten by the Cincinnati Reds. He actually didn't pitch too poorly in that game, though, striking out nine in seven innings and only giving up three runs. The left-hander is now 3-2 on the season and has 46 strikeouts in 35.1 innings of work.

Adam Dunn isn't known for being a good hitter against left-handed pitchers, but he has done well against Kershaw by going 8-for-13 with two doubles, four home runs and nine RBI. Alejandro De Aza has no hits in his four at-bats against Kershaw and has been struck out three times.
