Rookie right-hander Chris Bassitt (0-1) will make his third Major League start for the Chicago White Sox when they take on Danny Duffy (8-11) and the Kansas City Royals on Tuesday night.

Last week against the Oakland Athletics, Chris Bassitt pitched six innings and ended up with a no decision. It was his best start so far after giving up just one run on five hits while walking two batters and striking out five. In three outings, he has pitched 13.1 innings and given up 14 hits while walking seven and striking out 11.

All of the Royals will be going up against Bassitt for the first time on Tuesday night. So far this year, right-handed batters are hitting .286 against him while left-handed batters have a .258 batting average against him.

Danny Duffy last made a start for the Royals on August 31 when he took the no decision after giving up two runs (one earned) in 6.2 innings of work. He allowed five hits in that game and struck out six batters while walking three. On the year, Duffy now has a 2.42 ERA and he has only given up 102 hits in 141.1 innings.

White Sox shortstop Alexei Ramirez has two hits in six at-bats against Duffy in his career with a walk and two strikeouts. Catcher Tyler Flowers is 0-for-6 against him with no walks and three strikeouts.
