On Wednesday, Hector Noesi (5-7) will be going for his third consecutive win when he and the Chicago White Sox face off against Max Scherzer (12-3) and the Detroit Tigers.

Hector Noesi picked up his fifth win of the year last week when he was able to defeat the Minnesota Twins on the road. He pitched a season-high 7.2 innings in that outing and allowed just two runs on three hits while walking one and striking out three. The right-hander lowered his ERA to 4.99 with that win and his 8.9 hits given up per nine innings is the best rate of his career.

Tigers superstar Miguel Cabrera has four hits in eight plate appearances against Noesi with two home runs and three RBI. Second baseman Ian Kinsler is just 3-for-12 against him with a walk and a double.

Last Thursday, Max Scherzer pitched seven good innings against the Los Angeles Angels on the road and picked up the win. He allowed three runs on six hits in that outing while walking one and striking out 11. He currently has a 3.37 ERA and he is striking out 10.4 batters per nine innings this season.

White Sox slugger Adam Dunn has just 10 hits in 44 at-bats against Scherzer, but he has been able to hit three home runs off of him. Shortstop Alexei Ramirez is only 6-for-51 against him with five walks and seven strikeouts.
