On Wednesday night, rookie right-hander Kyle Hendricks (6-1) will look to extend his undefeated streak to eight games when he and the Chicago Cubs face Drew Hutchison (9-11) and the Toronto Blue Jays.

Last Wednesday, Kyle Hendricks pitched pretty well against the Milwaukee Brewers and came away with the win. He went 5.2 innings in that start and gave up two runs on nine base hits while walking no one and striking out no one. Through 10 starts, Hendricks now has a 2.02 ERA and he has only given up three home runs in 62.1 innings.

Hendricks will be facing the Blue Jays for the first time in his career on Wednesday. So far this season, he has held left-handed hitters to a .217 batting average in 106 at-bats.

Right-hander Drew Hutchison ended up going six innings against the Boston Red Sox last Friday and finished with a no decision. He gave up three earned runs on six base hits in that outing while walking two batters and striking out six. He now has a 4.47 ERA on the year and he has struck out 149 batters in 163 innings of work.

All of the Cubs' hitters will be going up against Hutchison for the first time on Wednesday night. Right-handed hitters are batting .230 against him, while left-handed hitters have a .263 batting average against him.
