Jake Arrieta will be getting the start for the Chicago Cubs on Tuesday night and will be facing veteran Tim Hudson and the San Francisco Giants.

In his fourth start of the season, Jake Arrieta was able to pick up his first win by defeating the San Diego Padres on the road. He went six strong innings in that game by allowing just one run on four hits while striking out seven and walking just one. He has a solid 2.33 ERA on the year now and has struck out 20 batters in 19.1 innings of work.

Power hitter Michael Morse is hitless in six at-bats against Arrieta in his career with one strikeout. Third baseman Pablo Sandoval is the only Giant who has hit a home run off of the right-hander.

Tim Hudson's start against the Colorado Rockies was cut short due to rain, so he ended up with a no decision. He pitched three innings in that game and allowed one run on five hits while walking two and striking out one. Hudson is 4-2 on the season and has an excellent 2.13 ERA through 63.1 innings.

Dodgers utility man Emilio Bonifacio has done very well in his matchups with Hudson, going 8-for-21 with two doubles and just two strikeouts. Chris Coghlan has done even better against him by getting eight hits in 17 at-bats with two doubles and two RBI.
