On Saturday night, Tsuyoshi Wada (1-1) will be making his fourth big league start when he and the Chicago Cubs face off against Hyun-jin Ryu (12-5) and the Los Angeles Dodgers.

Tsuyoshi Wada made his third Major League Start on Monday when he was able to beat the Colorado Rockies at home. He pitched seven innings in that contest and allowed just one run on five hits while walking one and striking out six. He now has a 3.38 ERA on the year and he has struck out 13 batters in 16 innings of work.

The Dodgers will be getting their first chance to face Wada on Saturday night. They can expect to see a 90 mph fastball with a slider, a curveball and a changeup mixed in.

On Sunday, Hyun-jin Ryu was able to defeat the San Francisco Giants on the road after pitching six decent innings against them. He allowed three runs on six hits in that game and struck out seven batters while walking just one. Through 20 starts, he now has a 3.44 ERA and he has struck out 105 batters in 117.2 innings.

Cubs outfielder Junior Lake has a hit in each of his three at-bats versus Ryu with no walks and no strikeouts. Outfielder Justin Ruggiano is hitless against him in their four matchups with one strikeout.
