On Tuesday, left-hander Travis Wood (7-9) will be going for his first win since mid-June when the Chicago Cubs go up against Brett Anderson (1-3) and the Colorado Rockies.

Travis Wood pitched six innings against the Colorado Rockies last Wednesday and ended up with a no decision. He allowed four runs on eight hits in that outing and walked two while striking out a season-high 11 batters. Wood now has a 5.10 ERA on the year and he hasn't picked up a win since back on June 15.

Rockies outfielder Brandon Barnes has just two hits in 12 plate appearances against Wood with a double and three strikeouts. None of the Rockies have been able to hit a home run off of Wood yet.

In his last start, Brett Anderson pitched seven good innings against the Chicago Cubs on the road, bu he had to settle for the no decision. He allowed just two runs on 11 hits in that start and walked no one while striking out nine. He currently has a 3.19 ERA and he has only given up one home run in 40.1 innings on the mound.

Veteran Nate Schierholtz has a hit in both of his at-bats versus Anderson and is the only player on the Cubs who has hit a home run off of him. Starlin Castro 0-for-3 against him and was struck out in each of those at-bats.
