Tuesday night, Rubby De La Rosa (4 – 5, 3.69 ERA) takes his turn for the Boston Red Sox as they take on R.A. Dickey (10 – 12, 4.08 ERA).  De La Rosa makes his 14th start as Dickey makes his 28th.

Rubby De La Rosa took a hard luck loss his last time out.  In 6.2 innings of work, De La Rosa allowed just 2 runs on 8 hits with 3 walks and 8 strike outs.  But his offense was shutout and De La Rosa paid the price.  De La Rosa has been a hit or miss proposition for Boston this season and is 3 - 3 in his last 10 starts.  Last season, De La Rosa made 11 relief appearances for the Red Sox en route to a 0 – 2 record and a 5.56 ERA.

In 2013, Dickey was lit up in his 2 starts against the Red Sox and allowed 13 runs and 16 hits (including 4 homers) in his 2 losses.  But this season, he is 3 – 0 in 3 starts against Boston.
