Felix Doubront is expected to get the start for the Boston Red Sox on Friday night for the suspended Brandon Workman and will be facing Jesse Chavez and the Oakland Athletics.

The last time Felix Doubront made a Major League start for the Red Sox was way back on May 20 when he was beaten by the Toronto Blue Jays at home. He went just four innings in that game and gave up five runs on five hits while walking two and striking out two. Sine that game, though, he has pitched well in the minors, so Boston will be expecting a good spot start from the right-hander.

A's outfielder Coco Crisp has two hits in five at-bats against Doubront with a walk and a solo home run. Catcher Derek Norris is just 1-for-5 against him with an RBI and four strikeouts.

Jesse Chavez had one of his better starts of the season on Sunday when he was able to beat the New York Yankees in Oakland. He went six innings in that outing and allowed just one run on five hits and struck out four while walking no one. Chavez now has a 6-4 record on the season and a very nice 2.93 ERA.

Veteran Mike Napoli is 2-for-5 against Chavez in his career with a triple, a home runs and two RBI. Catcher A.J. Pierzynski is just 1-for-4 against him, but he does have a home run and three RBI.
