Jake Peavy will take the mound for the Boston Red Sox on Tuesday to face off against the struggling Kevin Correia and the Minnesota Twins.

Jake Peavy pitched against the Cincinnati Reds last week and ended up with the no decision after pitching six decent innings. He gave up three earned runs in that outing on four hits while walking four and striking out four. Peavy has had a lot of problems with his command this season, walking 25 batters in 43.2 innings.

Joe Mauer has 10 hits in 32 at-bats against Peavy in his career with three doubles and one home run. Jason Kubel has just one hit against him in 11 plate appearances.

Kevin Correia had a rough start against the Cleveland Indians last week and picked up his fourth loss of the season. He could only make it through 4.1 innings in that game and he gave up four earned runs on eight hits while striking out five and walking a season-high four. Correia's 6.34 ERA is well above his career ERA and he has given up 50 hits in 38.1 innings so far this year.

One player on the Red Sox that Correia has never done well against is Shane Victorino, who is 8-for-17 against him with a double, a home run and six RBI. David Ross has just three hits in 15 at-bats against Correia with five strikeouts.
