Veteran John Lackey will be looking to get his seventh win of the season on Monday when the Boston Red Sox face Justin Masterson and the Cleveland Indians.

Last Wednesday, John Lackey was able to pick up his sixth win of the season when he defeated the Atlanta Braves at home. He went 6.1 scoreless innings in that start and allowed just eight hits while striking out nine an walking no one. He now has a 6-3 record on the year and has walked just 14 batters in 71.2 innings of work.

Indians designated hitter Jason Giambi has faced Lackey 40 times in his career and has 13 hits, including two doubles and three home runs. Asdrubal Cabrera is just 4-for-23 against him with seven strikeouts.

Big right-hander Justin Masterson had his shortest outing of the season last week against the Chicago White Sox and ended up taking his fourth loss of the year. He went just three innings in that start and allowed one run on four hits while walking two and striking out three. He now has a 5.71 ERA on the season and has given up 71 hits in 67.1 innings.

Catcher A.J. Pierzynski is 14-for-36 against Masterson with four doubles and four RBI. In Mike Carp's nine at-bats against him, he has four hits, including two doubles, a triple and a home run.
