Left-hander Felix Doubront and the Boston Red Sox will be squaring off against Wei-Yin Chen and the Baltimore Orioles on Thursday night in an AL East clash. Doubront is coming into his third year as a regular Red Sox starter and is hoping to drop his ERA below 4 for the first time in his career. His main problem in 2013 was his walk rate, which was 3.9 per nine innings. That's actually the best it has been since he broke into the rotation, but a little bit more command could go a long way for the 26-year-old Venezuelan.

Orioles outfielder Adam Jones has had a hard time figuring Doubront out in his 18 plate appearances against the lefty, getting just two hits and striking out eight times. Chris Davis, on the other hand, has had plenty of success, hitting .400/.471/.667 with a homer and three RBI in 17 career plate appearances.

Wei-Yin Chen started the 2013 season as Baltimore's number two starter, but was unable to really hit his stride due to multiple injuries. He did end up with 23 starts on the season, though, posting a 4.07 ERA and 104 strikeouts in 137 innings.

The one guy who Chen really hates facing in the Red Sox lineup is second baseman Dustin Pedroia. Pedroia has 11 hits in his career against Chen in just 19 at-bats, and five of those hits have gone for extra bases.
