Miguel Gonzalez (5-6) will attempt to even up his record when the Baltimore Orioles face big left-hander J.A. Happ (8-5) and the Toronto Blue Jays on Thursday night.

Last weekend, Miguel Gonzalez gave up four runs in five innings of work to the Seattle Mariners and ended up suffering his sixth loss of the year. He allowed seven base hits in that outing and walked one batter while only striking out one. Gonzalez has given up 115 hits in 107.2 innings this season and he currently owns a 3.92 ERA.

Blue Jays outfielder Colby Rasmus has just one base hit against Gonzalez in 14 at-bats with a walk and eight strikeouts. All-Star Jose Bautista is 3-for-11 against him with two walks and a double.

J.A. Happ had a good start against the Houston Astros on the road last week, but he had to settle for a no decision rather than a win. He pitched seven innings in that game and allowed just one run on three hits while striking out six batters and walking one. On the season, he now has a 4.25 ERA and he has struck out 77 batters in 95.1 innings.

Orioles All-Star outfielder Adam Jones has six hits in 13 at-bats versus Happ with a walk, a double and two strikeouts. Delmon Young is just 2-for-10 against him with no walks and two strikeouts in his career.
