Veteran right-hander Bud Norris will be on the hill for the Baltimore Orioles when they go up against Joe Saunders and the Texas Rangers on Tuesday night.

Last Wednesday, Bud Norris lost for the fifth time this season when he was beaten by the Milwaukee Brewers on the road. He allowed four earned runs in six innings of work in that start and struck out just one while walking three. Norris now has a 3-5 record on the year with a 4.04 ERA and he's struck out just 40 batters in 62.1 innings.

Donnie Murphy has an RBI against Norris, but he is hitless against him in four at-bats. Outfielder Alex Rios has two hits in three career at-bats against the right-hander with a double.

Joe Saunders ended up with a no decision in his start against the Minnesota Twins last week despite giving up no runs in five innings. He gave up just five hits in that game and struck out six while walking two batters. In 8.2 innings, Saunders has struck out 10 hitters and he has a 4.15 ERA.

Orioles outfielder Nelson Cruz has 10 hits in 31 at-bats against Saunders with a double, two home runs and three RBI. Power-hitting first baseman Chris Davis has hit a home run off of Saunders in his career, but he is just 3-for-11 against him overall with six strikeouts.
