Baltimore Orioles right-hander Miguel Gonzalez will get the start on Thursday night and will be taking on Colby Lewis and the Texas Rangers.

Miguel Gonzalez went 6.2 innings against the Houston Astros and gave up just two earned runs, but he got no help from his offense and ended up suffering his fourth loss of the season. He allowed five hits in that start and walked two while striking out four. Gonzalez is now 3-4 on the year and has given up 9.1 hits per nine innings, which is the highest that stat has ever been for him.

No one on the Rangers has been able to get a four-bagger against Gonzalez yet, but outfielder Shin-Soo Choo is 2-for-6 against him with a double and no strikeouts.

Colby Lewis' tough season continued last Friday when he was beaten by the Washington Nationals on the road. In 5.2 innings of work in that outing, he allowed six runs (five earned) on nine hits while striking out five and walking two. Lewis currently has a 5.44 ERA and has given up a whopping 68 hits in 48 innings.

Orioles outfielder Nick Markakis is just 2-for-13 against Lewis in his career, but both of those hits were home runs. Shortstop J.J. Hardy has four hits in 12 at-bats against the right-hander with a double, two home runs and four RBI.
