Monday night, the Baltimore Orioles and Wei-Yin Chen will square off against the Tampa Bay Rays and Jake Odorizzi.  It will be the 14th starts for both pitchers.

Wei-Yin Chen comes into this one after winning his last outing and boosting his record to 7 - 2 with a 3.76 ERA.  In that start, Chen threw 7 shutout innings and allowed just 4 hits while striking out 7. Jake Odorizzi dropped his 3rd straight game in his last start and that lowered his record to 2 – 7 with a 4.85 ERA.  Odorizzi had a decent start though as he pitched 7.1 innings and allowed just a run (on a solo homer) on 3 hits with a walk and 5 strikeouts.  Odorizzi has had mixed results this season compared to last year when he went 0 – 1 with a save and a 3.94 ERA in 4 starts and 3 relief appearances. 

In 2013, Odorizzi only pitched 3.2 innings of relief against the Orioles and allowed just a hit and a walk while striking out 2.  This season, Odorizzi took a loss against Baltimore after allowing 3 runs on 5 hits in 5 innings.
