Right-hander Miguel Gonzalez will go for his sixth win of the year when he and the Baltimore Orioles take on Roenis Elias and the Seattle Mariners on Sunday afternoon.

Last Tuesday, Miguel Gonzalez pitched well against the Los Angeles Angels and won his fifth game of the season. In 7.2 innings of work that day, Gonzalez gave up just two runs on three hits while walking four batters and striking out five. He is now 5-5 on the year with a 3.91 ERA and he has given up 9.3 hits per nine innings.

Mariners second baseman Robinson Cano has just two hits in his 18 at-bats versus Gonzalez with two walks and two strikeouts. None of the other Mariners have faced Gonzalez yet.

Roenis Elias faced the New York Mets last Monday and came away with the win after giving up just one run in 5.1 innings of work. He allowed five hits in that start and walked two batters while striking out eight. Elias is now 8-8 this season with a 4.41 ERA and he has struck out 104 hitters in 118.1 innings.

All of the Orioles will be going up against Elias for the first time on Sunday afternoon. Their left-handed hitters may have a tough time against him, though, because he has held them to a .209 batting average through 91 at-bats this season.
