Wei-Yin Chen will be going for his third straight win when he and the Baltimore Orioles face Jason Hammel and the Oakland Athletics on Saturday night.

Wei-Yin Chen could only make it through 5.2 innings against the Washington Nationals last week, but he pitched well enough to pick up his ninth win of the season. He allowed three runs on eight hits while walking no one and striking out six. On the year, Chen is now 9-3 with a 4.15 ERA and he has only walked 18 batters in 104 innings.

A's catcher Derek Norris has two hits in his seven at-bats against Chen in his career with a home run and two strikeouts. Jed Lowrie is hitless against the left-hander with no walks and one strikeout.

Last week, Jason Hammel, made his first start after being traded to the A's and ended up losing against the San Francisco Giants. He pitched five innings in that game and gave up three runs (two earned) on six hits while striking out three and walking three. He now has an 8-6 record on the year and has only given up 94 hits in 113.2 innings on the mound.

O's catcher Nick Hundley has seven hits in 14 career at-bats versus Hammel with three doubles, a home run and two RBI. Outfielder Nick Markakis is 6-for-14 against Hammel with a home run and five RBI.
