On Wednesday night, Chris Tillman will be hoping that he can finally pick up his first July win when he and the Baltimore Orioles go up against Jered Weaver and the Los Angeles Angels.

Chris Tillman pitched well against the Oakland Athletics last Friday, but he has to settle for a no decision for his efforts in a game the A's ended up winning 5-4. Tillman gave up two runs in 6.2 innings that day and struck out six batters while only walking one. The right-hander is 7-5 on the year for the O's with a 4.03 ERA and he his 5.8 strikeouts per nine innings in his lowest strikeout rate since 2010.

Rangers outfielder Josh Hamilton is has just one hit in his nine at-bats against Tillman with no walks and four strikeouts. None of the Rangers who have faced Tillman have gotten an extra-base hit off of him.

Veteran Jered Weaver went six innings in his outing against the Seattle Mariners last week and came away with a no decision. He allowed just two runs on six hits in that game while walking two batters and striking out eight. He is currently 10-6 on the year with a 3.43 ERA and he has struck out 104 hitters in 131.1 innings.

Orioles All-Star Nelson Cruz has hit two home runs off of Weaver in his career, but he only have a .227 batting average against him in 66 at-bats.
