On Tuesday night, Miguel Gonzalez will hope to pick up his fifth win of the year when he and the Baltimore Orioles face left-hander Hector Santiago and the Los Angeles Angels.

In his last start, Miguel Gonzalez was unlucky not to pick up the win against the New York Yankees after pitching eight strong innings against them. He gave up just two runs on six hits in that start while walking no one and striking out five. He is currently 4-5 on the year with a 4.04 ERA and he has given up 9.8 hits per nine innings.

Angels All-Star outfielder Mike Trout has just two hits in his nine at-bats against Gonzalez, but both of those hits were home runs. Josh Hamilton only has one hit in his nine at-bats against Gonzalez with four strikeouts.

Hector Santiago last made a start for the Angels back on July 10 when he was able to beat the Texas Rangers on the road. He went six innings in that start and allowed four runs (three earned) on five hits while striking out eight batters and walking one. Santiago is currently 2-7 on the season with a 4.32 ERA and he has struck out 64 hitters in 66.2 innings of work.

Orioles All-Star Adam Jones is 3-for-8 against Santiago in his career with a home run and two RBI. Shortstop J.J. Hardy is hitless against the lefty in eight at-bats with no walks and a strikeout.
