Left-hander Wei-Yin Chen (12-4) will try to win his sixth game in eight starts since the start of July when he and the Baltimore Orioles face Hector Noesi (7-8) and the Chicago White Sox on Wednesday.

Wei-Yin Chen pitched well enough to get the win over the Cleveland Indians last week, but all he could get out of that game was a no decision. Chen went seven innings in that outing and allowed just one run on four hits while walking one and striking out six. He currently has a 3.76 ERA and he has only given up 24 walks in 136.1 innings on the mound this season.

White Sox outfielder Dayan Viciedo has three hits in eight at-bats against Chen with two doubles and a solo home run. Slugger Adam Dunn is 0-for-6 against him in his career with no walks and three strikeouts.

Right-hander Hector Noesi picked up the win over the Toronto Blue Jays last week, but he didn't necessarily pitch well in that outing. He went five innings in the game and allowed five runs on eight base hits while striking out four batters and walking two. Noesi now has a 4.84 ERA on the year and he has walked 3.3 batters per nine innings.

Orioles outfielder Adam Jones is 3-for-7 against Noesi in his career with two walks, a home run and two RBI. Chris Davis is just 2-for-10 against him with an RBI and two strikeouts.
