Tuesday night, the Atlanta Braves will give the ball to Ervin Santana (14 – 7, 3.61 ERA) as they square off against the Washington Nationals and Jordan Zimmermann (10 – 5, 2.93 ERA).  Santana makes his 28th start as Zimmermann makes his 29th.

He walked 2 batters and struck out 8.  Zimmermann has been consistent in recent starts and despite missing out on some decisions, he is still 4 - 1 in his last 10 starts.  In 2013, Zimmermann was 19 – 9 with a 3.25 ERA in 32 starts. 

Last season, Zimmermann was 1 – 0 with a 1.50 ERA in 2 starts against Atlanta.  This season, Zimmermann is 0 – 1 in 2 starts against the Braves.
