On Sunday afternoon, Mike Minor (6-10) will try to snap his two-game losing streak when he and the Atlanta Braves go up against Colby Lewis (9-13) and the Texas Rangers.

On Tuesday, Mike Minor gave up just two runs in six innings of work against the Washington Nationals, but he took the loss after getting just one run from his offense. He allowed seven hits in that outing and walked two batters while striking out three. Minor now has a 4.58 ERA on the season and he has given up 157 hits in 139.2 innings.

Rangers outfielder Alex Rios has two hits in four plate appearances against Minor with an RBI. J.P. Arencibia is the only other player on the team who has faced Minor and is 0-for-1 against him.

Colby Lewis lost his second start in a row on Tuesday when he was defeated by the Los Angeles Angels. He went seven innings in that outing and gave up three runs (two earned) on five hits while striking out four batters and walking no one. The right-hander has given up 11.4 hits per nine innings this season and now has a 5.29 ERA.

Braves catcher Gerald Laird is 3-for-8 against Lewis in his career with a double, a home runs and four RBI. Outfielder Justin Upton is 0-for-4 against him with no walks and one strikeout.
