Friday night, the Atlanta Braves will give the ball to Julio Teheran as they take on the Philadelphia Phillies and Kyle Kendrick. It will be Teheran’s 17th start and Kendrick’s 16th start.

Kyle Kendrick’s record dropped to 3 – 7 with a 4.20 ERA after he lost his last start.  In that outing, Kendrick gave up 5 runs on 8 hits in 6 innings of work as he walked a batter and struck out 2.  Kendrick is having a season to forget and might not even match last season’s 10 – 13 record and 4.70 ERA in 30 starts.

In 2013, Kendrick was 0 – 1 with a 6.55 ERA in 2 starts against the Braves.  Less than 2 weeks ago, Kendrick beat the Braves after holding them to 2 runs and 6 hits in 7 innings.
