On Thursday night, Julio Teheran (10-6) will attempt to win his third game in four outings when the Atlanta Braves take on Clayton Kershaw (12-2) and the Los Angeles Dodgers.

Julio Teheran won his 10th game of the season over the weekend by defeating the San Diego Padres in Atlanta. He pitched six innings in that game and allowed three runs on nine hits while walking no one and striking out five. Teheran has a very solid 2.71 ERA this season and he has struck out 132 batters in 149.1 innings on the mound.

Infielder Justin Turner is the only player on the Dodgers who has had a chance to face Teheran and is 1-for-3 against him.

Last Saturday against the San Francisco Giants, Clayton Kershaw had yet another great start and was able to pick up his ninth win in 10 starts. He pitched a shutout in that start and allowed just three hits while walking one batter and striking out seven. Kershaw currently leads the league in shutouts (4), ERA (1.76) and WHIP (0.810). He also has only given up a total of six home runs in 112.1 innings this season.

Braves outfielder Justin Upton has hit a double and a triple off of Kershaw in his career, but he is just 3-for-29 overall against him with nine strikeouts. First baseman Freddie Freeman is 1-for-2 against him
